  Prologue

  Leah

When I walked into that bar, I thought I knew what I was getting myself into. He said it would be a piece of cake for a girl like me. I don’t know if it was arrogance or plain stupidity that made me believe him so completely. I thought it would be simple. Boy was I proved wrong.

You see, I thought I knew men. I was only twenty but that didn’t mean I was clueless. Men were easy. All you needed was a pretty face, a nice set of tits, and to look at them with a mixture of awe and deference. You know, boost their confidence a little, maybe a blowjob or two to seal the deal.

Men were like dogs. I don’t mean loyal like a dog. God knows I haven’t met a guy capable of that. I mean that like dogs, men were simple creatures. If you looked and played the part, they would do anything for a pat on the head and a bone.

So, when Tom, stopped by ‘Pretty Little Thing’ and told me that I was a “fine piece of ass” and offered me this opportunity, I said fuck it, why not? I knew I was pretty and I wouldn’t be making lattes in a bikini if I wasn’t hot. All I needed to do was hook up with a guy and take some photos.

One night. Fifteen thousand dollars. Five grand up front.

Of course, I took him up on his offer. I needed the money.

Now you can judge me all you want. I suppose I deserve it. I know there are better ways to earn your money. But it wasn’t for drugs or anything like that. I have my reasons, and you know what? It was high time my looks got me more than a cheap ass tip or a broken heart. Besides, if this guy was anything like Tom, he was just another arrogant rich douche bag used to getting his way. Fuck those guys. They’re the worst.

The thing was Callum wasn’t another arrogant rich douche bag. What happened between us wasn’t simple or easy. I didn’t know that I'd end up liking the guy I was being paid to seduce, and I certainly never would’ve imagined that I’d fall in love.

  But I did.

  Chapter 1

  Leah

Tom said Callum would be at Alta on a Friday night. That he went there without fail every week. I saw him from the far side of the bar right away. He looked just like his photo. Handsome. Mid-thirties. Dirty blond hair. He was the kind of guy that stood out. Even in a room full of similarly dressed business men and women, he didn’t quite fit in. Sure, he looked wealthy enough. He was impeccably dressed in his brand new looking tailored suit and perfectly styled hair. But unlike every other suit that gathered around that bar, he was something else. There was a tension in his broad shoulders and a glint to his almond shaped eyes that made him look almost feline, an apex predator among his prey. There was something about the way he hunched over his drink that reminded me of a tiger ready to pounce. My body reacted to him instantly. I should’ve known then I was in trouble.

Our eyes met as I made my way to him. I saw a flicker of interest in his expression. I tried to ignore the flutter of anxiety at the pit of my stomach and put on my most inviting smile. It was long past the point of no return, and pheromones be damned, I needed that money.

  Get it together girl.

I straightened my back and approached him slowly, acutely aware of the sway of my hips as I moved and the way his eyes roamed all over my body. The noise of the room seemed to fade into the background the closer I was to him.

“Uh, hi,” I managed to say. My voice was light and breathy like I was failing to emulate Marilyn Monroe and was sounding asthmatic instead. So much for a good opening to this conversation. I might as well had stuttered.

He remained silent, circling the rim of his glass. His hands were large like the rest of him and, man, he smelled amazing. The smell of his cologne lingered tantalizingly in the air between us. Callum continued to stare at me. He took his fill of the sight of my breasts that were pushed together in my tight little dress. My nipples hardened.

“Hello,” His eyes blazed with desire. I felt taken aback by the raw sexuality that radiated from him. I blushed furiously.

Be cool. Be cool. You’re supposed to seduce him not the other way around. Geez. What is wrong with you?

I thought of the cool fifteen grand I stood to make from this encounter and hardened my resolve.

“Are you here alone?” I hovered near the seat beside him. I couldn’t help but feel stupid, like I was a gawky naive teenager that had no business being here with someone like him.

“Yes,” he said. The corner of his mouth quirked up.

“Can I sit?” I held my clutch close to my body as if to protect myself.

“It’s a free country.” He shrugged.

He tilted his head back and drank the alcohol in his glass in one gulp. I watched his Adam’s apple bob up and down as he swallowed the liquid down. He licked his lips and continued to size me up. The way he openly admired me was unsettling. Instead of feeling confident because he liked what he saw, I felt exposed and he was being so dismissive. This wasn’t how it usually went. It wasn’t how I had imagined it going. Everything was off kilter, and I hated it.

What is his problem? Does he enjoy being difficult?

I blew air out through my nose.

“So, are you going to give me your sales pitch now?” he asked, raking his fingers through his hair.

“Wait, what?” All thoughts of Tom, the job, and everything else flew out of my mind.

  The nerve of this guy.

“Did you just insult me?” I narrowed my eyes at him.

“I’m just hurrying you toward the point.” His mouth had curved in an amused grin.

“And that point is?” I scowled.

“Whether or not we’re going to leave together.” He jerked his head toward the exit.

“Oh really,” I straightened my body, irritation rising. “You think we’re going to leave together?”

If he was going to be a pain in the ass, I could certainly be one too.

“Why else would you come over?” he waved dismissively.

  My eye twitched.

“You’re pretty sure of yourself,” I sniffed.

“I could say the same about you.” He continued to grin like he was having the time of his life.

“You cocky bastard,” I said underneath my breath.

“What was that?” he continued to grin.

“I called you a cocky bastard,” I repeated it louder this time.

His pupils flared. Did he like this?

“Now, now, no need to be rude…” he leaned in close. “We’re just h
aving a little fun.”

I inwardly cringed. I was supposed to be charming this guy’s pants off not getting into a strange argument with him.

  Change tact, Leah, you idiot.

I gave him a small smile.

“OK, why don’t we start again,” I held my hand out. “My name is Leah.”

“Hello, Leah,” he said slowly, taking my hand in his and lifting it up to his lips. He hovered over the delicate skin of my inner wrist. “…Fancy a fuck?”

“What is wrong with you?” I blurted out. I pulled my hand away.

  I flushed red with embarrassment.

Can’t this guy just shut up and be seduced?

“Are you this combative with someone you’re trying to pick up?” He pursed his lips and raised his eyebrows.

“Are you?” A petulant tone snuck through.

“Only the ones I like…” He broke into a Cheshire Cat-like grin.

We stared each other down. I felt the sudden urge to smile along with him. I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction. I schooled my features into a disapproving stare.

  “Callum.” His eyes twinkled.

  “What?” I snapped.

“My name is Callum.” He extended his hand.

“Leah,” I said shaking it. “And I need a drink.”

I waved over the bartender who sauntered over and stared at us curiously.

  “Vodka and soda.”

  The bartender nodded at me.

  “And for you sir?”

“More of The Macallan you served me before.”

“Are you old enough to drink?” Callum turned his body to face mine as the bartender walked away.

“I’m old enough for a lot of things.” I raised my chin.

“No, seriously,” he frowned. “How old are you? You look young.”

The bartender returned with our drinks and set them in front of us.

“Twenty-one,” I lied. Well, I would be, in less than six months. Besides I didn’t want to admit that he guessed right.

He moved the drink away from me.

  “Twenty-one,” he murmured. “Sure.”

I moved the glass back. I wrinkled my nose at him before lifting it to my lips and taking a long sip. I gave Callum a knowing look as I slowly licked my lips.

  He cleared his throat.

“Shouldn't you be in college, playing with little boys instead of trying to seduce a grown man?”

"If I wanted to be with a boy, I wouldn't be here talking to you, would I?”

  “Is that so?”

“Yes.” I slid closer to him, moving my legs in between his and pleased with the direction of the conversation. The alcohol made me feel a little lightheaded.

“So, we’re going to leave here together now?” He squeezed my bare thigh. There was a look of challenge in his eyes, like he didn’t think I was game enough to make a move. Well he was wrong.

“What do you think?” I leaned over and grabbed his crotch and smiled as it hardened underneath my hand. His eyes widened.

I’ve still got it. Checkmate, Mr. Cocky Bastard.

He looked down at my hand. His eyes darkened, and a sexy, knowing smile spread across his face. He moved closer to the bar table and placed his hand over mine.

“You shouldn’t have done that,” he squeezed his hand over mine and moved it slowly over his hard cock. “You’re playing with fire, little girl.”

My breath hitched as he moved my palm up and down the seat of his pants.

  He was huge.

  Holy shit.

“Breathe,” he said letting go of my hand. “We’ve only just started baby.”

“Baby?” I breathed. He lifted my glass to my lips.

“Drink,” he said. I took the glass from him and finished off my vodka and soda.

  I looked at him expectantly.

He pulled his stool closer, so close I was almost on his lap.

  “What…” My breath quickened.

“Shh…” he said taking out an ice cube from my now empty glass. “We can’t let anyone see.”

  “See what?”

I shivered as he began to draw a long line with the ice cube down my arm.

  “What are you doing?”

“Playing with you,” he murmured. “You said you wanted to play.”

What in the world was this man doing to me? And here, of all places, in front of a crowd of people?

“If you’re quiet,” he continued to stroke my skin with the ice cube. “No one will ever know.”

I let out a whimper and squeezed my thighs together.

He gave a dark chuckle and with his other hand he parted my thighs. He moved the ice down to my leg. The cold cube trailing cool wetness as he ran it up and down my upper thigh.

“You are ready to go, aren’t you?” he whispered in my ear as he pressed the ice cube dangerously close to my panties. I wondered if he could feel how damp and hot he had made me. I blushed and closed my eyes. “Like putty in my hands.”

I frowned and opened my eyes. I squeezed his cock through his pants again. Harder this time. He gave a little yelp.

  “You’re like putty in mine.”

  He chuckled.

“You like it a little rough, huh? I’ll keep that in mind.” He grazed his teeth over my earlobe and gave it a nibble.

Remember what you’re here to do, Leah.

I knew this little game had to stop. I was enjoying it too much. If he wanted lay me on the bar and fuck me in front of all of these people, I would’ve let him. Something about him made me feel wild and free.

  Think of the money.

I wasn’t free, and I wasn’t here for this delicious slow torture or the undeniably sexy man in front of me. He wasn’t mine to enjoy. This night was a job.

  Well, then get it done.

I pulled away and faced him directly, gripping his thighs with both hands. I ran my tongue against his lips, licking his plump lower lip to the corner of his mouth. He was still as I dragged it toward his ear.

“Let’s get out of here and you can show me what that big cock can do,” I said my voice thick with desire. I let out the moan I had been holding in for what seemed like ages. “I promise I’ll try my hardest to get it to fit.”

The ice cube dropped to the floor.

  Chapter 2

  Callum

This girl was crazy. Crazy hot.

I just about came in my fucking pants.

“Come.” I grabbed her hand and she hopped off the bar stool. As if her dirty talk wasn’t enough, and she shimmied in front of me, rubbed her ass against my hardening cock.

This was going to be so good. The dirty things I was going to do to her. She didn’t know what she was in for.

Leah led me out of the bar. Her slim fingers tangled with mine. The crowd parted as we walked toward the elevators. We entered the lift and I fished my phone from my pocket and quickly sent a text to my driver George.

I didn’t realise how hot under the collar I had been until I stepped out into the fresh night air.

My phone buzzed in my hand and a message appeared on the screen.

  George: Sure thing, boss.

She looked up at me expectantly.

“My driver is coming,” I explained.

Leah nodded, shivering as she folded her arms. She looked smaller somehow. Her slight shoulders trembled.

“Cold?” I moved closer and brushed my hands up and down her arm, feeling the tiny little goose bumps I found there. My fingers lingered at the silky strands of her long blonde hair that tumbled past her shoulders.

“A little.” She drew her arms nearer to her body.

I took my jacket off and draped it over her. She looked up. Her face was a mixture of shock and gratitude. It unsettled me. Who was this girl? She was a strange mixture of confidence and fear, and it was turning on all my switches in an incredibly confusing way. I wanted to protect her, and I wanted to be what she had to be protected from.

“Come closer,” My voice was a little gruffe
r than I wanted it to be. She stepped closer toward me, and I gathered her into my arms. It felt so natural and so right, as if we had done this many times before. I could feel her heart beating; little fluttering beats against my chest, and I found myself kissing the top of her head. She murmured incoherently and burrowed deeper into my embrace. She smelled like fresh linen, lemons, and springtime. I had expected something heavier, something that suited those sultry eyes but even they seemed different under the moonlight. When she tilted her head toward mine, her blue eyes were wide and innocent, reflecting the glittering lights of the street around us like a kaleidoscope.

She was fucking beautiful. Not in that model you hooked up with kind of way. She was beautiful in a way reserved for breathtaking vistas and desert skies. She was sublime. I shook my head at the emotion that swelled within me.

What has gotten into me? I was getting way too carried away. Did I have too much whiskey? Had it been too long since I had a one night stand?

As if she had snapped herself out of her own reverie, her eyes shuttered, and she began to move against me again, rubbing her soft belly against my quickly hardening cock.

OK, this I knew what to do with. Let’s leave the sublime to poets, shall we Callum?

From the corner of my eye, I saw my Rolls Royce approaching. It was George. He peered out of the window at us as he slowed the car to a stop. I gave him a nod of acknowledgment before opening the car door and allowing Leah to enter. I walked around to the other door and resisted the urge to do a jig.

“Home, please, George,” I said to my driver after settling into my seat.

He gave me a bemused grin. He looked over at Leah and raised both eyebrows at me. It must have been ages since I had brought a girl home. Had it been that long since Natalia?

Without prompting, George activated the privacy wall.

Good man, that George. I should give him a bonus.

I turned my attention back to Leah who shifted uncomfortably in her seat.

“Relax,” I said stroking her arm.
